Construction Began on Pakistan’s Football Stadium in Karachi
Wednesday in Karachi, the legendary English footballer Michael Owen reportedly laid the foundation stone for Pakistan’s first soccer stadium (January 26). The football player is in the country for a three-day promotional tour.

Teachers, football enthusiasts, and students attended the event at NED University of Engineering and Technology in large numbers. Owen stated at the occasion that he was astonished by the fervor of the peasants for the sport. He continued by stating that Pakistan is a beautiful country for football and that he is pleased to be a part of the country’s historical transformation.

According to the specifications, the stadium will be constructed to the international standards of the European Football Association. The former player will also visit Karachi’s Lyari Town district, commonly known as “little Brazil” because to the people’s passion for football.
