The topographic survey is expected to be finished in the following two months when the dam construction will start. Some sources anticipate that construction on these dams will begin in May or June of 2024. In order to irrigate up to 20,000 acres of land and provide water to the people of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the dams in the Rawalpindi Division are slated to be built in the districts of Jhelum, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, and Attock. There will be new entertainment parks in these miniature dams as well.
The construction of a minor dam in Tehsil Kotli Sattian was also permitted for the recently constituted Murree District. Towering mountain peaks may be seen in this area of Murree District, where many attractions for new tourists and leisure activities have recently been established.
Additionally, according to the news source, permission has been given to construct other small dams, including Khori Dam, Papin Dam, Ahmad Dal Dam, Sora Dam, and Khor Dam.
