Construction of Dir Expressway Needed
Lower Dir: Speakers at an event urged the construction of a Dir expressway, the formation of a distinct Dir division, and the opening of the Timergara Medical College.

Yesterday, the request was made at a post-budget seminar organized by the Dir Qaami Pasoon (DQP), a local welfare organization, and the district bar association.
On this occasion, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf representative Humayun Khan, ANP representative Haji Bahadar Khan, former provincial ministers Bakht Baidar Khan and Muzaffar Syed, DQP leader Jehan Alam, and social activist Akbar Khan were among those who spoke.
Bahadar Khan, an elected official, stated that opposition parties had been neglected in the development budget. He stated that the ruling party had broken every democratic principle by excluding the opposition from decision-making.

Shah Faisal Advocate, president of the bar, urged that the chief judge of the Peshawar High Court establish a single bench in Timergara for the Dir and Bajaur districts. If the government supplied funding, the bar would convince local landowners to donate land for the bench and offices for a distinct division, he said.
