Contract of Rawalpindi Ring Road Project Acquired by FWO
The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) granted the contract for the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project to the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) on Wednesday, according to news sources (March 16).

Dr. Habibul Haq Randhawa, RDA Chief Engineer and RRR Deputy Project Director, declared that the authority has awarded the FWO a PKR 22.8 billion contract. According to the specifics, the FWO’s proposal was 300 million PKR less than the project’s estimated cost. The Punjab government has budgeted 4 billion Pakistani rupees for the RRR project, while the RDA would pay 3.5 billion Pakistani rupees to the FWO for machinery mobilization.

Apparently, the project will conclude the development of the 38.3-kilometer-long primary carriageway from Baanth (N-5) to Thallian (M-2). According to reports, an 8992 Kanal area was reserved for the RRR project.
