CS Requested Ranger’s Help to Recover Intruded Forest Lands
Hyderabad: The provincial chief secretary has been instructed to contact the director general of the Sindh Rangers with a request to use force to compel the forest department to vacate forest lands by the Sukkur bench of the Sindh High Court, which is made up of Justices Aftab Ahmed Gorar and Fahim Ahmed Siddiqui.

The court demanded that the Rangers unit sent by the forest department be given further police authority.
The order regarding the encroachment and unauthorized allotment of forest areas in Sindh was issued on April 14 in response to numerous identical petitions.
The bench instructed the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) director general in Sukkur to examine forest land throughout Sindh using an expert in land revenue and submit a thorough report to the court.

The bench instructed the Board of Revenue (BoR) member to present his report on such duplicate records.
On the following hearing day, the head of Hyderabad Electricity Supply Company (Hesco) was contacted and ordered to personally show up to discuss if energy was being provided to encroachers. He received instructions to cut off the Hillaya woodland invaders’ access to power.
