Dr Faiqa Noor Khan, daughter of former Pakistan Air Force chief Air Marshal Noor Khan, has passed away in a tragic road accident in the United States, leaving the medical community in deep mourning in both Pakistan and the US.
According to US media reports, the accident occurred over the weekend in Dinwiddie County. Local authorities said Dr Faiqa Noor Khan was driving her car when it went off the road, collided, and caught fire. She lost her life at the scene. Police confirmed that the crash was severe and that emergency responders were unable to save her.
Dr Faiqa Noor Khan was 75 years old and was a highly respected pediatrician. She had a long and distinguished medical career in the United States. She joined the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in 1993 and served there with dedication for many years. Over time, she rose to become Medical Director of the hospital’s Emergency Department, where she earned wide respect for her leadership and commitment to children’s healthcare.

Colleagues described her as a compassionate doctor who always put patients first. She was also known as a strong mentor who guided and supported younger doctors throughout her career. Many in the medical community remembered her as someone who devoted her entire life to medical service and care.
In Pakistan, King Edward Medical University, Lahore, expressed deep sorrow over her passing. The university confirmed that Dr Faiqa was an alumna and had graduated in 1973. Faculty members and fellow alumni paid tribute to her achievements and described her as a source of pride for the institution.
