The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication has extended the deadline for submitting proposals for Pakistan’s National Unified Super App project, a major initiative aimed at digitizing public services.
The new deadline has been set for April 10, 2026, replacing the earlier cutoff of March 31. Officials said the extension was granted after the initial response did not meet expectations in terms of participation.
The super app is being developed under the Digital Economy Enhancement Project (DEEP), with support from the World Bank. It is designed to provide citizens with access to a wide range of government services through a single digital platform.
Once launched, the platform will allow users to carry out tasks such as license renewals, tax filing, and permit applications without visiting government offices. The goal is to simplify service delivery, improve efficiency, and enhance transparency.
The system will be available on both mobile and web, offering 24/7 access and support for multiple languages to ensure wider accessibility.
A key feature of the platform will be its integration with Pakistan’s national digital identity system, including NADRA’s digital ID, enabling secure authentication. Users will also benefit from personalized dashboards and a single sign-on system linked to their national identity.
The project is aligned with Pakistan’s broader digital strategy, including the Cloud First policy and e-government standards. Its architecture is designed to be scalable, allowing new services and third-party integrations to be added over time.
Officials say the super app represents an important step toward building a more connected and efficient digital ecosystem in Pakistan.
