Kia Pakistan has officially denied the validity of a price list circulating on social media that falsely claims a substantial price cut for the Kia Sportage L 2.0L FWD variant. The viral document, which resembles an official press release, incorrectly states that the price of the popular SUV has been reduced by Rs. 1 million, from Rs. 11,825,000 to Rs. 10,825,000, with the change supposedly taking effect on April 18, 2025.
In response to the spread of this misinformation, Kia Pakistan has issued a clear clarification, labeling the document as fake. The company has marked the document with a prominent “FAKE” stamp and emphasized that there has been no official announcement regarding any price reduction for the Sportage lineup.

Additionally, the fabricated document lists the price of the Sportage L 2.0L Alpha as unchanged at Rs. 9,499,000, and falsely claims a price drop for the Sportage L 1.6L GDI HEV from Rs. 12,850,000 to Rs. 11,900,000. Kia has not confirmed any of these pricing details, further discrediting the authenticity of the circulated list.
Kia Pakistan has urged its customers and the general public to ignore such misleading content and to rely only on information shared through the company’s official website and authorized dealerships. The origin of the fake price list remains unknown, and Kia continues to monitor the situation closely to prevent further spread of false information.
This incident serves as a reminder to verify all vehicle-related updates through reliable sources, especially when it comes to pricing and official company announcements.
