Driving License Applicants Get Major Relief in Punjab

A media source claims that the government has eliminated the file system from the process of issuing driving licenses. The applicants can now apply for a driving license by presenting their National Identity Cards (NICs).

The agency has additionally permitted applicants to take driving exams in their personal vehicles. To make the application procedure quick and easy for applicants, certain measures have been adopted as part of the paperless driving license issuance system.
24-Hour Service
In six of the most populated cities in the province, Punjab Police announced in February that a 24-hour driving license service would be available. Citizens can receive their licenses from these centers in as little as 24 hours, even after business hours.

According to DIG Traffic, driving test facilities would be built in each of the six major cities in the province: Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Sialkot. He added that these facilities would be open every day of the week, 24 hours a day.
