Dutch Firms Keen to Finance in Renewable Energy Projects
Ambassador of the Netherlands to Pakistan, Wouter Plomp, stated in Islamabad that a large number of Dutch firms are considering investments in solid waste energy projects in Pakistan.

During a meeting with Federal Minister for Energy Muhammad Hammad Azhar, the envoy stated that Dutch companies had expertise in using domestic and agricultural waste to produce electricity at a lower cost.
According to a press release, during the meeting, the federal minister highlighted the government’s initiatives to increase Pakistan’s renewable energy share to the 45 percent target by 2030.

According to him, the government was introducing a policy that would permit power producers to sell electricity to any local business.
