Election Commission to Use Modern Tech in Next General Elections
ISLAMABAD, January 20, 2023- Election Commission of Pakistan(ECP) is set to use modern technology in the next elections.
To fully prepare for this purpose, the commission has initiated a survey at the district level to detect internet and other technological concerns in its district offices. For this aim, the ECP has engaged the services of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL). New equipment will be placed in the offices of all district election commissioners, according to the commission. Relevant election officials will have access to the upgraded election system and the internet.

The commission has instructed district election commissioners to work with PTCL teams. Using current technology will aid the commission in producing timely election results for the upcoming general election.
Additionally, the ECP has forwarded copies of its letter to the provincial governments of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The commission is dedicated to ensuring that the next general election is conducted in a transparent and accurate manner.
