Electricity Consumers Prepare To Pay Heavy Bills
In the third quarter adjustment of 2022–23, consumers nationwide have seen a rise in electricity prices of Rs 1.25 paise per unit.
For the third quarter adjustment of 2022–2023, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has reportedly approved an increase in the price of energy of 1 rupee 25 paise per unit.

According to the Nepra statement, all consumers, with the exception of Lifeline customers and electricity customers, would be subject to the increase on their July, August, and September 2023 bills.
Nepra added that, at the request of the DISCOs, the authority had held a public hearing on May 24 about requests for monthly adjustments from electrical providers.

CPPA and K-Electronics submitted separate applications before Nepra on 20 June to raise the price of power by Rs 2.5 paise per unit for customers of state-owned electricity providers and Rs 1.49 paise per unit for K-Electric subscribers. Requested.
