Elon Musk is Forcing Dark Mode on All of Twitter
Elon Musk announced that the site will only be accessible in “dark mode” when Twitter changed its name to “X,” therefore depriving everyone of the chance to select between several aesthetics.
In an early Thursday morning post on X, Musk made this declaration. The billionaire had earlier in the week asked his fans if they thought black should be the platform’s default colour. A sizable 78.4% of the more than 1.8 million respondents supported the switch to a dark theme.

In response, the CEO of Twitter tweeted, “This platform will soon only have ‘dark mode, It is better in every way.”
On some devices, “dark mode,” sometimes known as “night mode,” is a screen setting that reduces the amount of white light generated by the device and displays grey or white text on a black background. It is designed to be used at night or in environments with low lighting in general since it makes the screen easier to view.
Newly relaunched as “X,” Twitter has historically had a white theme as its default setting. It formally debuted a dark mode option in 2016 and now offers two different iterations of this: “dim” and “lights out.” ‘Dim’ depicts the platform in dark blue tones, while ‘lights out’ shows it in black tones.

Musk’s decision to change the platform’s default display without providing any other options highlights his most recent effort to change Twitter, now known as “X,” in line with his vision. The billionaire said that his “everything app” will be built on the social media platform as its core component.
This one-stop shop will offer a variety of services similar to those offered by the Chinese messaging app WeChat, including social networking, banking, financial transactions, and messaging.
