Establishment of a Museum on Cards to Preserve Multan’s History
The documentation procedure for the allocation of 10 kanals of land for the development of a historical museum on Water Works Road has begun, according to news reports. This announcement was made by the Commissioner of Multan Division, Javed Akhtar Mahmood.
In order to allot the land, a letter has been sent to the provisional revenue department.

Moreover, he stated that Multan is a culturally diverse city and that the museum will preserve the 5,000-year-old heritage of the city of saints. According to the commissioner, these measures are a part of the Multan uplift project announced by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar for the development and rehabilitation of Multan city.

In addition, the commissioner examined three possible sites for the relocation of the district jail, including Jaswant Singh, the main Bahawalpur road near Peer Ismail Shah’s shrine, and Sher Shah Road.
The commissioner stated that the new district jail will be constructed on 75 acres of land, while the current district jail site will be transformed into a park.
