Facts Shared on How to Recover An Infringed KDA Plot in Karachi

Karachi: According to a post shared by a local news channel, land encroachment is a significant problem in Karachi, and in an effort to aid people in reclaiming their plots in neighborhoods and housing developments under the control of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA), a proper mechanism has been introduced.

According to reports, KDA has an established Estate & Enforcement (E&E) division that handles the invasion of land lying under its purview.

Allottees are responsible for their property after they acquire ownership of it. In other words, allottees can only approach KDA in order to recover a plot from the land gang that they do not yet own.

Affected parties can file complaints with KDA’s E&E office by following these easy steps:

Visit the E&E Director’s office on the third level of the Civic Center to see all the paperwork.
Provide a written complaint and documentation that describe the location and plot allocation (which is not in their possession yet)
The E&E Director will verify the KDA Land Department records after receiving the complaint and then issue orders to remove encroachments. It takes 15 to 20 days to complete this operation.
KDA assigned a date to begin an anti-encroachment drive following the granting of the order to remove the encroachment.
The KDA team will request that the neighborhood police clear the area before they get to the encroached land.

Arshad Abbas, who is now the KDA E&E Director, would be in charge of these operations, according to the news source.
