Fauji Foundation Paid Over Rs 1.6 Trillion in Taxes Over Seven Years

The Fauji Foundation has made a major contribution to Pakistan’s economy by paying more than Rs1.6 trillion in taxes over the past seven years. In the financial year 2024–25 alone, the Foundation paid Rs325.7 billion in taxes, highlighting its strong role in supporting the country’s financial stability.

According to available details, more than 70 percent of the Foundation’s total income is spent on welfare programs for retired soldiers, martyrs, and their widows. These initiatives are aimed at ensuring financial security, healthcare, and social support for those who have served the nation and their families.

The Fauji Foundation also plays a key role in Pakistan’s healthcare and education sectors. It operates 74 medical facilities across the country, providing treatment to over five million patients each year. In education, the Foundation runs 131 institutions, offering learning opportunities to around 75,000 students and helping improve access to quality education.

Beyond these sectors, the Foundation’s impact extends to everyday life and national development. Its welfare and business activities support nearly 10 million people and provide direct employment to about 32,000 individuals. In agriculture, the Foundation meets around 60 percent of Pakistan’s national urea requirement, making it a critical contributor to food security and farm productivity.

In the energy sector, the Fauji Foundation contributes more than 330 megawatts of electricity to the national power grid, helping ease pressure on the country’s energy supply.

Overall, the Fauji Foundation’s role goes beyond commercial activity. Through taxes, welfare spending, healthcare, education, agriculture, and energy production, it continues to strengthen Pakistan’s economy, improve living standards, and support long-term national development.
