Islamabad: Four Capital Development Authority CDA officials have been detained by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on suspicion of participating in the transfer of three bogus plots in Sector D-13 and engaging in fraudulent planning. According to the sources, the arrests took place when a local judge on September 20, 2023, revoked their pre-arrest bail. The CDA’s Security Directorate first became aware of the case in 2020 and launched an inquiry after finding abnormalities.

Investigation revealed that Mr. Abdul Rasheed received plot numbers 38, 39, and 40, each of 50/90 feet (500 square yards), dishonestly, according to the facts. The plots were situated in Sector D-13/3 of Street No. 92 in Islamabad. This allotment was based on his bogus claim. He asserted ownership of 12 Kanals of land in Mouza Shah Allah Ditta that the CDA allegedly acquired thanks to an award issued on August 22, 2008.
2019 saw the revelation of stamp papers that supported the transaction’s fraud, which raised even more questions about the accuracy of this allocation. “It has also been established that the accused individuals worked together with one another to prepare/construct the entirety of the said plots in back date,” the First Information Report (FIR), which was submitted in February 2023, stated. with the intention of engaging in fraud in order to receive illicit commission and advantages.”

Ten Capital Development Authority (CDA) employees engaged in this matter have been sued by the FIA. The former Assistant Director Inayatullah, the former Gardawar Sheraz, and the dealing assistants Mukhtar Solangi and Aftab Jaffrani were among the four of the ten who were detained after their anticipatory bail was revoked. After receiving a complaint from the CDA, the FIA began its investigation, which showed the involvement of the said officials.
