Following a lengthy wait, Indian officials have granted Pakistani journalists permission to cover the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023.
This comes amid increased sensitivity to the problem. The journalists are set to arrive in India on Thursday, along with PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf.
Their primary task is to cover the cricket match between giants Pakistan and India, which is slated for October 14 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

The PCB Chairman met with Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary earlier this week to discuss the delayed visa clearances for journalists and supporters.
Zaka Ashraf pushed the Indian Home Ministry and the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi for speedy action to resolve the long-awaited issue.
As many as 60 Pakistani journalists will cover the World Cup, despite the fact that their country is on the Prior Reference Category (PRC) list.
Zaka Ashraf stated in a PCB press release that he had decided to postpone his trip to India till visas for Pakistani journalists were confirmed.
