An important occasion occurred at Zafar Ali Plastic Road, which runs from Gymkhana Mall Road to Jail Road, when the province’s first-ever plastic road was officially launched by the caretaker chief minister, Mohsin Naqvi.
The CM inspected the new road’s quality and construction before it was launched. He was joined by lecturers from the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore who described how this route functions as well as the Secretary of Communication and Works.

The CM lauded the UET professors’ technological expertise in creating this plastic road. They also disclosed intentions to broaden the project, with Mall Road set to be the next section to get plastic paving.
The ability of a plastic road to withstand rain ensures that it will last for at least 10 years and is less expensive to construct, which is one of its key advantages. Unlike a typical road, which costs Rs60 million, this project only cost Rs20 million.
