FM Qureshi, UK MPs Debate about Reciprocal Ties, Cooperation
Mr. Shah Mahmoud Qureshi, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, and Lord Daniel Hannan of Kingsclere, a member of the British House of Lords and the UK Board of Free Trade, met in Islamabad to discuss bilateral connections and mutual interests.

Mr. Qureshi remarked that Pakistan and the United Kingdom had strong multilateral relationships and that Pakistan was willing to advance bilateral economic, trade, and political ties. He believed that the strategic partnership agreement strengthened bilateral trade and economic links between the two countries.

He further added that the existence of over 1.6 million Pakistani expats in the United Kingdom was evidence of the development of these relationships. The minister informed Lord Daniel Hanna that they would commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
