Pakistan Railways will operate four special trains ahead of Eid to accommodate the expected surge in passengers travelling across the country.
According to a railway spokesperson, the additional train services will run between major cities to help people travel to their hometowns during the holiday period.
The first special train will depart from Lahore for Karachi on March 16, stopping at Okara, Sahiwal, and Khanewal along the route.
The second special train will leave Quetta for Rawalpindi on March 17, with scheduled stops at Sukkur, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanewal, and Lahore.
On the same day, a third special train will operate from Karachi to Peshawar. The fourth special service will depart from Karachi for Lahore on March 18.
Officials said the special trains are being introduced to ease travel during the busy Eid season, when large numbers of people move between cities to celebrate the festival with their families. Pakistan Railways regularly adds extra services during major holidays to manage increased passenger demand and reduce pressure on regular train operations.
