The Federal Public Service Commission has postponed several interviews scheduled at its Islamabad headquarters on April 9, 2026, following a local holiday declared by the Cabinet Division.
According to an official notice, interviews for positions including Charge Nurse at Federal General Hospital and Assistant Professor at the Ministry of Education and Professional Training have been deferred. The commission stated that new dates will be announced later.
However, FPSC clarified that not all recruitment activities are affected. Interviews for Medical Officer positions for the Gilgit-Baltistan government will proceed as scheduled on April 9 and will be conducted online via Zoom.
The postponement is part of a broader impact of the Islamabad holiday, which has led to multiple disruptions across the capital. Authorities have already announced closures of educational institutions, NADRA offices, and public hiking trails, along with restrictions on heavy vehicle movement.
The development highlights how the holiday has extended beyond routine closures, affecting recruitment processes and administrative operations across federal institutions.
