Funds Allocated for Road, Water Projects in Malir, Korangi
Islamabad: According to news reports, the federal government allocated funds of PKR 24,211.511 billion for 115 new and continuing projects of the Housing and Work Division under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) in Malir, Korangi for fiscal year 2021-22 (FY22).

The budget allocates PKR 10,689.314 billion for 60 new projects and PKR 13,522.197 billion for 55 continuing programmes.
Following are the budget allocation details for these projects:
- Karachi has allocated PKR 1,451,350 million for the renovation and development of roads and streets, including the water and sewage infrastructure, in the Korangi/Malir district.
- The rehabilitation and improvement of streets and roads in the union councils of Central Karachi has been allocated PKR 1,319.290 billion.
Regarding new projects, a total of one billion Pakistani rupees would be allocated for the development of several union councils in District Gujrat.

There is an allocation of PKR 499,849 million for the construction of a 38Km road from Dureji Town of Lasbela to union council Taung, with an 8Km link to the Talanga dam in Lasbela.
Road restoration and development in Latifabad, Hyderabad City, will cost 638.434 million Pakistani rupees.
