FWO Introduces Construction Work on Margalla Road
Islamabad: Frontier Works (FWO) has kicked off construction work on Margalla Road – after the federal cabinet approved the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to engage its services for the said project, according to a statement. news sources.

The inauguration ceremony of this building was carried out by Prime Minister Imran Khan last month.
CDA President Amer Ali Ahmed also announced that the FWO will proceed with the construction of the 35 km long Margalla road (from GT road near Sangjani to Bara Kahu) in two phases.
In the first phase, construction works will be carried out from Sangjani to D-12 and then from the edge of Constitution Avenue to Satra Meel after circumventing Bhara Kahu.

In addition, Khayaban-e-Iqbal Road from D-12 to Constitution Avenue will serve as a link between the northern and eastern sections of Margalla Road. Furthermore, sources in the CDA announced that construction works to the north near Sangjani would be completed within a year.
In a similar development, the government has expressed its willingness to undertake two more projects; 10th Avenue and the expansion and restoration of IJP Road are done on a single tender basis through the FWO, provided it is approved by the federal cabinet.
