Galaxy S25 Receives Game-Changing Update — Here’s What’s New
Samsung has officially launched the One UI 8.5 beta in the United States, allowing Galaxy S25 users to test its latest software based on Android 16. The beta was previously available in Europe and South Korea.
The first One UI 8.5 beta update is now live for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra in the US. The update carries firmware version S93xU1UEU7ZYL8, weighs around 1.3GB, and includes the December 2025 security patch. Currently, the beta is limited to unlocked devices, with Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 FE excluded for now.
Registered beta users can install the update via:
Settings > Software update > Download and install, then tap Install now. The device will restart automatically.
