Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy S26 Ultra as its latest flagship smartphone, highlighting a new built-in Privacy Display feature that is integrated directly into the screen hardware. The feature allows users to hide the entire display or specific parts such as notifications and passwords, reducing visibility from side angles in public spaces.
Unlike major hardware overhauls, this year’s upgrade focuses more on software refinements and deeper AI integration, similar to the Galaxy S26 and S26+ models.
In terms of design, the Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 3120 × 1440 and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The panel uses Samsung’s latest OLED materials to improve brightness and energy efficiency. Gorilla Glass Armor 2 protects the front of the device. The phone has slightly refined curves and a slimmer profile compared to its predecessor and is available in Black, White, Blue, and Purple.
The new Privacy Display technology narrows viewing angles to prevent people nearby from clearly seeing the screen. Users can turn the feature on or off through system settings. Samsung’s Flex Magic Pixel technology further strengthens this privacy function.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S26 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset in supported markets. It comes with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM as standard, with higher variants offering up to 16GB. Storage options go up to 1TB and use UFS 4.1 technology.
The device ships with Android 16 and One UI 8.5. Samsung has expanded Galaxy AI across the system, integrating tools such as Bixby, Gemini, and Perplexity AI. AI features include real-time call translation, writing assistance, smart summaries, advanced photo editing, object removal, contextual suggestions, and improved voice commands. Many of these AI features run directly on the device to improve performance and maintain user privacy. Samsung has also promised up to seven years of Android and security updates.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra features a quad-camera system led by a 200MP main sensor. It also includes a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. A 12MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. AI-powered image processing improves low-light shots, portrait quality, video stabilization, and overall detail.
The phone includes a 5,000 mAh battery, similar to previous generations, but wired charging has been upgraded to 60W fast charging. It also supports wireless and reverse wireless charging.
In Pakistan, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is available in three variants. The 256GB model with 12GB RAM is priced at Rs. 424,999. The 512GB variant with 12GB RAM costs Rs. 489,999. The top-end 1TB model with 16GB RAM is priced at Rs. 579,999.
