Regarding the performance of his government, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has made audacious claims, saying that no federal or provincial administration in Pakistani history had amassed as much revenue in such a short amount of time as his.

“I challenge anyone to show me a government that has collected more revenue than mine,” Gandapur said in an exclusive interview with Samaa TV on Monday. We have already raised Rs2.5 billion, and we have only just begun.

He made it clear that he is evaluating his performance against the last four terms of previous governments in addition to the present administration. “I have to beat four in one term,” he said with assurance.

Political rivals’ criticism

Gandapur also ridiculed Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), for losing the election. He still refers to himself as a leader despite losing in his own constituency. The chief minister declared that his election assurances were revoked.

PTI-led campaign starting on August 5

The KP chief minister then turned his attention to national politics, confirming that, in accordance with the party’s plan, a movement led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will begin on August 5. He claimed that preparations are now in progress and that the party founder had suggested starting the movement following Muharram.

Gandapur explained that he made the choice to set a 90-day timeframe for government action. Without going into greater detail about his plans, he continued, “Let’s see what I do as chief minister on the instructions of the PTI founder.”

The chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gave the government a 90-day ultimatum on July 12th, stating that either the party would succeed in its goals of freeing its founder, Imran Khan, or its leaders would quit politics.

Gandapur made it plain that the period of silence was over when speaking at a PTI parliamentary party meeting at the farmhouse of former Senate deputy chairman Mirza Muhammad Khan Afridi, which is close to Jati Umrah.

“We’ll either live or you will. “We must either accomplish our objective or exit politics,” he said, stressing that his party would no longer put up with what he called “state-sponsored oppression.”
