Quetta: According to recent updates, the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) has taken strict measures against illegal housing schemes operating within Gwadar and against land mafia engaging in illicit activities in response to public complaints. Thus, Dhor Ghati and other areas have seen the start of operations.
In addition, GDA representatives urge the public to assist them by reporting any housing society operating in Gwadar whose NOC has yet to be approved and has yet to comply with the necessary protocols.
The sources state that GDA is acting according to Director-General Dawood Khilji’s directives and has served legal notices to the owners of the housing schemes. In the interim, the owners of the housing societies are expected to respond.

In addition, the district administration has been directed to report violators or individuals engaged in illicit activities by filing a First Information Report (FIR). Furthermore, the district administration has been requested to cease changing illegal land whose NOC has not received GDA approval.
The GDA has made a list of legitimate housing schemes whose NOC status is transparent and available on its website for individuals to consider investing in to promote transparency and ensure public safety. Therefore, before making any agreements with scheme owners, the general public is advised to confirm the legitimacy of any schemes via the GDA official website, https://gda.gov.pk/.
It is important to note that the list on the GDA website is updated frequently and contains housing schemes that have complied with all GDA regulations and been granted the crucial No Objection Certificate (NOC).
