The new update concentrates on improving the autocorrect feature. Currently, Gboard individual words or predicts the next word in a Sentence Auto-Fix. However, with the upcoming Google Keyboard update, it will now be able to auto-fix full sentences. Users will also have the choice to select whether they want auto-correct sentences to focus on single words or correct full sentences, making typing more personalized.

In addition to enhancing predictive text, Google is making Gboard’s customization choices safer. Currently, users can shuffle tools in One-handed mode or Translate by long-pressing and dragging. To avoid unexpected changes, a new “edit” button with a pencil icon will be added, which users must tap before making any adjustments.

Lastly, switching between keyboards will become more accessible with a new single button. Instead of controlling the language switcher, users can now quickly change language inputs with this new feature. These updates aim to provide Android users a smoother and more efficient typing experience.
