Google for Education and the Ministry of Federal Education in Pakistan announced a partnership to digitally improve education for millions of out-of-school students in Pakistan.

This partnership aims to improve access to education and a digital learning environment for Pakistan’s huge student population.
Google will collaborate with the Pakistani government through its partner Tech Valley in order to:
- Assemble more than 500,000 Chromebooks locally By 2026.
- Give teachers and Pakistani students access to digital learning tools and materials.
- Teach instructors how to use technology and learning tools in the classroom efficiently.
- Develop creative educational initiatives with technology.
Providing education to out-of-school students will be the main focus. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif proclaimed an “education emergency” last month because more than 26 million children were not attending school. He demanded help from the provinces and committed to a national program to re-enroll these kids.

Australian company Allied will establish an assembly line for Chromebooks in Pakistan as part of this initiative to lower the cost of Chromebooks for educational use. According to the Google education initiative in Pakistan, each child should have access to cutting-edge technology in the classroom to improve learning.
