According to Android Authority, Google is testing a new feed-based interface for Gemini that moves away from the plain chatbot style. Instead, the design introduces a scrollable stream of prompts paired with vibrant images, making the app feel more like a creative hub than a text box.
The redesigned interface was uncovered in a recent Gemini Android build by a reverse engineer who activated hidden code. It’s not yet available to the public, and Google has declined to comment on a release timeline.
What’s new in the redesign
Screenshots reveal several key changes:
- Shortcut buttons like Create Image and Deep Research now appear at the top.
- A dynamic feed of prompt ideas fills the home screen, suggesting creative and productivity use cases.
Sample prompts include:
- “Teleport me to deep space.”
- “Give me a vintage or grunge look.”
- “Turn my drawing into a storybook.”
- “Brainstorm out loud with Live.”
- “Send me a daily news roundup.”
The aim is to help users explore Gemini’s full potential — especially those unsure of what to ask or how to start.
