The federal government has decided to keep the petrol price unchanged, while reducing the price of high-speed diesel by Rs2 per litre for the next two weeks starting Friday, May 16.
According to the official notification:
- Petrol will still cost Rs252.63 per litre
- High-speed diesel will now cost Rs254.64 per litre
Earlier this month, the government had also reduced the prices of both petrol and diesel by Rs2 per litre.
The finance ministry issued the latest notification, confirming that only the diesel price has been changed this time.
