The federal government has issued an official list of certified Umrah companies to protect pilgrims from fraud and exploitation. The Ministry of Religious Affairs released the names of 113 approved Umrah operators, valid for the Islamic year 1447 Hijri.
The list has been published on the ministry’s official website, allowing pilgrims to easily verify company details before booking. Officials said the initiative aims to reduce the risk of scams by unauthorized agents and ensure that travelers have access to trusted and reliable service providers.
The ministry also shared guidelines for those planning Umrah. Pilgrims have been advised to only deal with certified operators and confirm their status through the website. All payments must be deposited into the official bank account of the certified company. Travelers should also make sure they receive a payment receipt along with a signed copy of the agreement.
Authorities said these steps are necessary to safeguard pilgrims and to make the sacred journey smooth and secure.
