Government Taking Steps for Janikhel Development
Lakki Marwat: The province government is committed to carrying out the deal it struck with Janikhel elders for regional development.

Shaukat Ali Yousafzai, the commissioner of the Bannu division, said this while addressing a jirga of Janikhel elders in his office.
Shah Mohammad Khan, the provincial minister, DC Mohammad Zubair, and DPO Imran Shahid were also present.
The tribesmen conducted a sit-in in March, seeking the arrest of those responsible for the kidnapping and murder of four youths, and the commissioner informed the elders about the progress of the deal agreed with them.

Mahmood Khan, the chief minister, had agreed to all of the demonstrators’ requests at the time.
“Following opening of a mandi (bazaar) in Janikhel, the administration guaranteed supply of facilities there to encourage business activities and enable local tribesmen to earn livelihood in a decent manner,” he said.
In addition to speeding up work on present uplift initiatives, Mr. Yousafzai claimed that the government has also approved additional projects for the region.
