Government to Present Bidding for M6 in Oct

In October, the federal government will seek financial bids for the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway (M6), according to Dr. Shahbaz Gill, an assistant to the prime minister for political communication.

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council accepted the revised PC-1 cost of Rs191.471 billion for the building of the Hyderabad-Sukkur motorway (ECNEC).

The 306-kilometer 6-lane highway would be developed under the Build Operate Transfer (BOT) model.

During the ECNEC meeting in Islamabad, Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin announced that the project will be finished in 30 months.
