Government to Spend 469 Billion on Infrastructural Development
Islamabad: In order to “accelerate growth,” the federal government has chosen to spend PKR 469 billion on infrastructure development projects, including modernization and upgrade initiatives.
The planned projects call for spending money in the transportation, risk management, water, energy, and environmental sectors.

The following sums have been pledged for the infrastructure renovation, according the information provided:
PKR 228.767 billion has been allocated for the development of the energy sector.
PKR 90.313 billion has been allotted for initiatives in the water industry.
PKR The Ten Billion Trees Tsunami Programme (TBTP) Phase-I and the instruction of the local populace in risk disaster management will each cost 14 billion.

Construction of the logistics and transportation infrastructure will cost PKR 302 billion in total. Prior to this, the government planned 173.8 billion for logistics and transportation in the fiscal year 2021–20, but only PKR 127 billion were actually used. For the current fiscal year 2021–2022, the budget for modernised logistics is 74% greater than it was the year before.
