Government’s Ration Initiative Promises RS 20bn Relief to People
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s communication minister, Kamran Khan Bangash, has announced the commencement of the Ehsaas Ration program, stating that the province’s residents will receive 20 billion rupees in price relief.
The minister stated at a news conference that the provincial government will give Rs 13 billion to the scheme, while the federal government would contribute Rs 7 billion.
He stated that the Ehsaas Ration program will endure for longer than six months and would benefit the local underprivileged.
Mr. Bangash stated that the administration would devise a method for the equitable distribution of aid packages. He stated that national and international efforts are being made to cut the pricing of critical commodities.

Mr. Bangash stated that approximately three million homes would benefit from the Ehsaas Ration program, but the provincial government intends to extend the number of recipients to 30 million people.
The minister asserted that Pakistan’s inflation rate was lower than that of neighboring nations such as India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. He stated that the national economy depended on imports and that the government required time to balance imports and exports.
