Govt Extends Eid ul Azha Holidays To Four Days
According to Express News, the federal cabinet on Thursday extended the Eidul Adha celebrations to four days.
The Govt eid ul adha holidays would start on June 28 and last on July 1. Since July 2 falls on a Sunday, there will be a total of five holidays for government workers on Eidul Adha.
A three-day Eid break was already scheduled by the government, taking place from June 29 (Thursday) through July 1 (Saturday).

The statement was preceded by Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s sighting of the moon on July 19. On June 29, Pakistan will celebrate the first day of Eidul Azha, according to Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.
Several locations, including Islamabad, Lahore, Bahawalpur, Khanpur, Ghotki, Karachi, Bahawalnagar, and Peshawar, reported seeing the moon of Zilhaj.
As a result, it was decided by everyone present that Eidul Adha would be observed on June 29, 2023, and the beginning of Zilhaj would fall on June 20, 2023.
The Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, comes to a finish on Eidul Adha and should be performed by every Muslim who has the financial means to do so.

The Islamic month of Zilhaj began on Monday, June 19, according to an announcement made by Saudi Arabia at the time. This set the stage for the celebration of Eidul Azha on Wednesday, June 28.
Eidul Fitr and Eidul Azha are typically observed concurrently in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and numerous other Gulf countries.
