Govt Extends Passport Submission Deadline for Hajj 2023
A piece of news comes from the Ministry of Religious Affairs that the deadline for submitting passports by Hajj pilgrims has been extended to respective bank branches until April 28th.
Ministry has also advised all pilgrims to use the “Saudia Viso Bio” for the verification purpose. It’s a smartphone app for pilgrims that help them to verify by staying at home.
In Case any pilgrims have any difficulty, they can visit nearest Gerry’s Visa Centre for any ambiguity. The timings for the center will be from 2 pm to 6 pm for the client’s assistance.

Earlier this month, the Ministry of Finance declared that all individuals who had applied for the Hajj pilgrimage this year would be able to perform it without the need for balloting.
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the federal cabinet, which was chaired by the Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, had authorized $163 million for the arrangements of the Hajj this year.

As per the Ministry’s statement, all 72,869 applicants for Hajj will be able to perform it without balloting this year.
During the announcement, Ishaq Dar mentioned that the Religious Ministry would require more resources, such as foreign exchange, to send a more significant number of Hajj pilgrims than the fixed quota under the regular scheme.
