The government has decided not to approve the resignations submitted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers from standing committees, sources disclosed on Friday.
According to officials, the step is aimed at keeping PTI engaged in the legislative process. The government has reached out to the party’s parliamentary leadership, urging it to reverse its decision and play an active role in parliament.
In recent communications, the government has reiterated that dialogue remains the only practical way to resolve political disputes, and a fresh invitation for talks has been extended to PTI.
