Govt Sets Task Force to Develop Roadmap for Adoption of AI
Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, launched a 15-person National Task Force (NTF) on Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Friday to further the goal of national development.
According to state-run radio station Radio Pakistan, the National Task Force’s major objective is to design a 10-year strategy for advancing the adoption of artificial intelligence in the commercial, development, governance, educational, and healthcare sectors.

The task group would be composed of experts in artificial intelligence and members from the public and private sectors. The planning minister claims that artificial intelligence will revolutionize the fields of commerce, government, and education and that it will be essential for progress in the near future.
He claims that the NTF’s mission is to harness AI’s potential for Pakistan’s growth and development and to make sure that all corners of society benefit from its benefits.
Ahsan Iqbal claims that the NTF is a part of the government’s commitment to utilizing IT’s potential and altering the country’s economic environment. He asserts that by investing in AI, Pakistan can enhance the quality of life for its citizens and create new opportunities for expansion and prosperity.

The National Centre for Artificial Intelligence was founded by the PML-N administration in 2018. The minister claimed that by investing in AI and creating new opportunities for growth and development, Pakistan could improve the lives of its citizens.
“The integration of AI in our governance, healthcare, and educational systems has the potential to revolutionise these sectors and bring about significant progress,” he added.
Ahsan Iqbal emphasized that AI might offer solutions that were previously unattainable, from enhancing educational opportunities to individualized medical care.
