Govt to Launch Marketing Export Program to Enhance IT Exports
The Federal Government has decided to implement a Technology Marketing Export Program to boost the growth of IT and ITeS export through international public relations, branding, and marketing.
The Ministry of IT and Telecommunication has recommended launching this program with PSDP funding.
A comprehensive feasibility study of top export destinations will be conducted within six months to design the program’s framework, including the preparation and costing of various components, duration, implementation plan, and action plan methodology for the top 10 IT export destination countries.

Once the feasibility study is completed, an action plan in the form of PC-1 will be prepared. According to the MoITT, participating in international events is crucial for networking and business development opportunities for Pakistan’s IT and IT businesses.
The Pakistan Software Export Board facilitates the participation of IT companies in major trade events and subsidizes them to generate sales leads and business contracts.
Several IT companies have participated in international events like GITEX Dubai, Mobile World Congress, LEAP Saudi Arabia, London Tech Week, Collision Canada, Game Development Conference San Francisco, Digi Tech Summit Denmark, China Hi-Tech Fair, and Japan IT Week, with the help of PSEB.
PSEB has launched the Tech Destination Pakistan campaign to market the local IT industry on global platforms, attract foreign investment, and enhance IT exports.
The Tech Destination website has been developed to promote Pakistan as a preferred tech and services outsourcing destination, replacing the PSEB website with multiple dedicated portals.
