The authorities destroyed billboards, power poles, site offices, road infrastructure, and a security room during the large operation. The Divisional Intelligence Committee has directed the task force to take action against unapproved housing developments.
In compliance with Commissioner Rawalpindi’s directives, massive operations against all illegal societies would continue thoroughly and without distinction, according to RDA Director General Saif Anwar Jappa.
He continued by saying that the public has complained about landowners in illegal housing developments having illegal possession of land. Strict action against people occupying land illegally was his warning.
The director further recommended the public only invest in housing developments certified by the RDA. Additionally, prior to the operation, notifications were sent to the sponsors and owners of the five illegal housing schemes.
