Green Line BRT to Become Operational Next Month
According to news reports, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has announced that the Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) will become operational next month in Karachi. In addition, it was stated that the second shipment of forty buses will arrive in Karachi by October 13th.

After minor last details are resolved, the Sindh governor was optimistic that the BRT would deliver services to Karachiites. In addition, the governor stated that BRT was a project of world-class quality and services comparable to those supplied in wealthy nations.
In addition, the governor stated that the bus service will have 23 kilometres of dedicated tracks, 11 kilometres of which will be elevated. Governor of Sindh Ismail remarked, in describing the characteristics of BRT, that the project will include specific services for people with disabilities and senior citizens. Each bus will have wheelchair-accessible escalators.

According to information shared regarding the Green Line BRT project, the metro service will begin at KESC Powerhouse Chowrangi in Surjani Town and conclude at Merewether Tower. The route of the bus will include Nagan Chowrangi, Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, and Gurumandir. The route will feature 21 stations to accommodate 300,000 passengers daily, it was disclosed.
