GuGo Motors has taken a bold step in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle (EV) sector of Pakistan by slashing prices across its entire lineup of GuGo Box EVs. This strategic move comes just two months after the introduction of the DongFeng Box by Chawla Group, signaling a fierce competition in the country’s growing EV space. The GuGo Box, now more competitively priced, aims to capture attention from value-conscious consumers looking for feature-rich, eco-friendly alternatives.

The GuGo Box is offered in three variants—E1, E2, and E3—and each has seen a significant price reduction of Rs. 1,050,000. The new prices stand at Rs. 5,650,000 for the E1 Eco, Rs. 6,250,000 for the E2 Plus, and Rs. 6,650,000 for the E3 Premium. These limited-time prices apply to available stock, with bookings open against a partial payment of Rs. 500,000 and deliveries scheduled within April.

In terms of performance, the GuGo Box series is equipped with a 70kW front-mounted permanent magnet motor. The E1 variant features a 31.4 kWh LFP battery delivering a CLTC range of 330 km, while the E2 and E3 come with a larger 42.3 kWh LFP battery, extending the range up to 430 km. All models offer a top speed of 140 km/h and support fast charging up to 80% in just 30 minutes. Charging ports include AC Type 2 and DC CCS2 connectors. The vehicles come with a 2-year or 100,000 km warranty and a separate 4-year or 150,000 km battery warranty.

Design-wise, the GuGo Box showcases a modern and sleek exterior with frameless doors, hidden powered handles, and distinctive LED DRLs. The E3 variant includes adaptive headlights and standard alloy wheels, while rim sizes vary between 16” for the E1 and 17” for the E2 and E3. The color options include white, silver, and black, available in both single-tone and dual-tone finishes.

Inside, the cabin blends style with functionality. A white and black interior theme dominates across all variants. The E1 features fabric seats while the E2 and E3 are equipped with synthetic leather. Seat functionality ranges from manual adjustment in the E1 to optional electric, heated, ventilated, and memory features in the upper variants. A 5-inch LCD cluster is standard, with the E2 and E3 boasting a 12-inch infotainment system complete with Bluetooth and wireless charging capabilities.

Safety is a key focus in the GuGo Box lineup. Standard features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD and CBC, ESC, HSA, BA, ISOFIX, seatbelt reminders, and tire pressure monitoring. Additional touches such as anti-pinch power windows and rear radar enhance the safety quotient. The E3 variant further adds a full ADAS suite, including AEB, FCW, LDW, LKA, TSR, TJA, HWA, adaptive cruise control, a 360° camera, and automatic parking. The E2 and E3 also come with reverse cameras and basic cruise control.

GuGo Motors’ aggressive pricing and feature-rich offering position the GuGo Box as a compelling alternative in Pakistan’s competitive EV landscape. Whether this strategy will tip the scales in its favor over established rivals like the DongFeng Box remains to be seen, but it has undoubtedly ignited a new chapter in the local EV movement.
