During a news conference, Aneeq Ahmed, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, disclosed when applications for the Hajj will be accepted.
During a press conference, the minister also discussed in-depth the recently released Hajj policy 2024, which was accepted by the federal government yesterday.
The minister stated that the government will begin accepting applications for the Hajj on this month’s 27th. The deadline for applying for Hajj is December 12, he continued.
Additionally, the federal government will release an advertisement regarding this shortly. Speaking about the Hajj strategy, the minister promised that there would be no service compromise, stating that the cost has been down by Rs. 100,000.

This year, 179210 Pakistanis will complete the Hajj; the quota will be split equally between private and public programs. In addition, negotiations between the government and airlines are underway to lower airfares.
According to Aneeq Ahmed, the money will be deposited into their bank accounts if the pilgrims successfully obtain airline discounts. If pilgrims opt to spend four days in Madina instead of eight, they will receive a reimbursement of Rs. 35,000.
Additionally, the minister announced the release of a smartphone application that operates offline. Among the functions the app will provide is the ability to file complaints.
The religious minister added that complimentary data-enabled SIM cards, QR-coded suitcases, Ihram belts for men, abayas for women, and shoe bags will all be given to Hajj pilgrims.
