The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has opened registrations for the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT), a key requirement for students seeking admission to MS, MPhil, and PhD programs across universities in Pakistan, as well as those applying for HEC scholarships.
According to the official announcement, the deadline to register for the test is March 30, 2026, while the exam is scheduled to be held on April 19, 2026. Candidates can complete their registration through HEC’s online portal.
The HAT is mandatory for applicants applying to universities that accept HAT scores and is also required for those pursuing HEC-funded local and international scholarship programs.
The test plays a central role in evaluating candidates for graduate and postgraduate studies, making it an important step for students aiming to secure admission or financial support through HEC initiatives.
