Hyderabad: According to a news source on December 8, Hyderabad Mayor Kashif Shoro has ordered interested parties to submit written ideas for the Hyderabad Master Plan 2047.
The mayor chaired an important meeting to present the detailed master plan to a range of stakeholders. The plan, which is expected to cost PKR 500 million, was disclosed with the goal of improving the city’s sustainability and suitability for future generations to live in.
When visiting rural Hyderabad, Mayor Shoro expressed concern about the numerous new housing developments and emphasized the need for strategic planning. He emphasized how the transformation of agricultural land into residential and commercial areas increases the vulnerability of the metropolis.

Anees Ahmed Dasti, the municipal commissioner for Hyderabad, declared that better urban planning and efficient land use are the primary goals of the conference. Important elements of the master plan will include agriculture, clean air initiatives, a drainage system, access to clean drinking water, and the provision of basic civic amenities around the city.
Imtiaz Ahmed Chandio, the director of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology’s department of city and regional planning, thanked Mayor Shoro for including stakeholders in the Hyderabad Master Plan consultative process during the meeting. In order to lessen individuals’ reliance on private vehicles, Chandio emphasized the necessity for upgraded road infrastructure and a strong transportation system.
ADC-I Najeeb ur Rehman Jamali also emphasized the need for a thorough analysis of population increase, attributing the demographic shifts in the city to rural-to-urban migration. In order to create a cleaner and more tranquil urban environment, Jamali recommended moving the Hyderabad Civil Hospital on a wider scale and moving commercial marketplaces outside of the city. He emphasized the significance of conducting a demographic survey.
Mayor Kashif Shoro instructed all attendees to submit written suggestions at the end of the conference to ensure that everyone worked together to create the comprehensive and forward-thinking Hyderabad Master Plan 2047.
