Due to a lack of lamination papers, passport applicants should anticipate having to wait longer to acquire their travel documents, according to local media.
A local media outlet, citing its own sources, said that in spite of an insufficient supply of lamination papers, the involved officials failed to act promptly to ensure a sufficient supply of the papers.
There were no beneficial adjustments made to the supply chain last week to reduce any potential hazards. There will now likely be delays nationwide in the printing and issuance of new passports.
If the problem isn’t fixed, it will probably take a month or longer to mail passports to applicants who paid the standard amount.

In spite of their inability to provide prompt delivery because of the lack of lamination papers, passport offices are nevertheless receiving new applications. There’s a chance that this will result in more passport applications being pending.
To date, the applicants’ concerns have not been addressed by an official statement. Recently, the passport delivery period was extended by the Directorate General of Immigration and Passport.
Delivery of a regular passport will now take up to 21 working days. Fast-track and urgent passport requests will take two and five days, respectively. Before, a regular passport would arrive in ten days, an urgent one in four, and a fast-track one in two.
