The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a scheduled power suspension programme for Thursday across multiple areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and adjoining regions due to routine maintenance and development work.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, electricity will remain suspended mainly between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm in parts of Islamabad Circle, including areas connected to Kund Rajgan, Scheme-II, King Hammad, and Chatta Bakhtawar feeders. Several localities in Rawalpindi City Circle will also be affected during this time, including F and B Blocks, Khurram Colony, Al-Noor Colony, Farooq-e-Azam, Sector-4, Affandi Colony, Dhoke Hukamdad, Iqbal Road-II, Gulshan Abad, Jinnah Road, Asghar Mall, Misrial Road, People Colony, New Race Course, Radio Pakistan-I, Railway Colony and surrounding areas.
In Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, power supply will remain suspended in areas linked to Kashmir Road, Adamjee Road, Mecca Chowk, Car Chowk, Model Town, Park View, Girja-1, Choungi No-22, Dhoke Awan, Kahuta City-II, Pindori, New Choa, Ghazan Khan, Nara Matore, Ghumti, Pind Jhatla, Bhangali, Syed Kasran, Dhoke Farman Ali, Tipu Road and nearby localities.
Attock Circle will face longer outages in several areas, with electricity suspended from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm in localities connected to feeders such as Bhoi Gar, Salargah, Saifiya Town, Millat Colony, Cabinet Division, Small Industrial Estate, Hazro, Hattian, Qazi Abad, Attock Cantt, Sangjani, Shah Allah Ditta, Gulshan-e-Sehat, Paswal and Darya Sharif, among others. Some feeders in Hasanabdal, Munirabad, POF Emergency, Bhater and Chakwal Circle areas will also be affected during extended hours.
In Chakwal Circle, outages are planned in areas connected to Bhoun, Balkassar, Millat Chowk, Jamalwal, Main Bazar, Dhudial Express, Katas, Lilla Town, P.D. Khan, Kot Shera, Dhok Pathan, Kot Sarang, Tehi, Abdullah Pur and Jalal Pur feeders.
Similarly, in Jhelum Circle, power supply will remain suspended in areas linked to F-7 (Kutchery), New Cantt Jhelum, Mangla Cantt, Dina-4 City, Karoli, Baba Shaheed, Thakra and Qazian feeders during the maintenance window.
Under GSO Circle, various feeders will remain closed at different times between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, affecting areas such as Gulberg City, Model Town, Dhoke Awan, Humak, Morgah, Imarat, Brot Gala, Khoi Ratta City, Seri, Jandrot Dabsi, Park View, I.S.T, Zaraj-1, Sarwar Shaheed and surrounding localities.
IESCO has advised consumers to plan accordingly and assured that efforts will be made to restore power as soon as maintenance work is completed.
